Shawn’s Music Box (rhythm: La vie en rose) combines the technique of automaton, wood cutting and sculpture. Shawn is one of the characters in the story: the Fabulous World. On the facade of the doll house made by laser cut technique, ruins of the war and wild plants are depicted. The blue star of David hanging over him symbolize his Jewish identity; he crumbles on the floor, holding a violin in his arms and stares at the audience, as if he is asking for help and comfort.
