The WBS project is a collaborative project of MICA’s ILP program and the Writers in Baltimore Schools. Each of the students illustrate two poems written by teenagers from the poetry schools in Baltimore.
The poems: The Beautiful White Swan and The Camp were illustrated by Chendi. She applied new materials in order to push herself further and develop new styles. The two poems are both gentle and peaceful, so she used gouache and watercolor to depict the calmness and beauty.
